Jordan Korth has been playing bass for ten years. He has performed in rock bands, big bands, small jazz combos
and has been asked to accompany percussion groups as well as religious services. For the past four years
he has also been performing as the principle bassist for the Earlham Symphony Orchestra with repertoire
that includes some of his own works. He has been studying music theory and composition at Earlham College
for the past four years with Dr. Tobey and Pavel Palanco-Safadit. He has just finished his B.F.A. from
Earlham College in Composition. Jordan has worked with students of many different ages and skill levels
and welcomes all.
Bianca Liang Beginning Violin Bianca Liang has recently
received her bachelor degree in Piano Performance from the University of Minnesota. She is currently a
piano performance master student at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Bianca has studied piano since the
age of six and later became proficient in violin. She has numerous experiences in giving recitals,
accompanying soloists, and performing with chamber groups and orchestra either as a pianist or violinist.
With the intensive and broad musical background, Bianca is excited to share her experiences and knowledge
with people who want to explore more about music.
Tim Parker Fiddle, Upright Bluegrass
Bass Tim Parker has been playing music since 1964 when he took up the guitar. Since then he played lead guitar in various
bands through the late 60's and 70's. In 1975 he was introduced to Bluegrass music and started seriously studying
the banjo and fiddle. In the 80's, while continuing in country rock bands, he took classical violin lessons and while
in college studied music theory. Through the 90's to now he has concentrated on playing Bluegrass, Swing and Jazz. Tim
has recording studio experience as well as performance at bluegrass festivals and television. Tim previously taught
at Smith-Holden Music.
Colin Wheatley Violin and Viola A native of Bellingham Washington, Colin
Wheatley is currently pursuing a graduate degree in viola performance at Indiana University. Colin has taught violin
and viola for nine years both privately and with pedagogy programs at the Oberlin Conservatory and the Indiana University
String Academy. Additionally, Colin taught violin, viola and chamber music at a summer music program in Panama in 2010.
An avid orchestral and chamber musician, Colin has performed with pianist Jeremy Denk, violinist David Bowlin and jazz legend
Stevie Wonder.
Audrey Williams
Violin, Viola,
Cello, String Bass Audrey completed her Bachelors Degree of Music at the
Eastman School of Music. Under the guidance of Professor VanDemark, Audrey founded a bass quartet through Eastman's
"Music for All" program. The quartet performed in public schools, hospitals, and libraries, focusing on "why
we play music" as well as sharing music with the Rochester community. While at the Eastman School of Music, Audrey obtained
a double degree in Performance and Music Education, instrumental. Audrey moved to Bloomington, Indiana to study the double
bass privately with Larry Hurst, Professor of Double Bass at Indiana University. She is also playing in the bass section of
the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra.
